A New Era for Public Bets

As you all know, iBetYou has gone multichain!🥳 What does this mean for you? — It means that now, you have the freedom to choose whichever blockchain you want to put your bet on along with the token of your preference! Okay, but what are these new chain integrations? From now on, we are on four different chains, and we support even more tokens:
🎲 Moonriver ($MOVR, USDT, USDC)
🎲 Polygon ($MATIC, USDT, USDC)
🎲 Avalanche ($AVAX, USDT, USDC)
🎲 Binance Smart Chain ($BNB)
Pretty convenient, right? Of course, all of them have their own strengths, and we would like to share some information about these platforms.
The Moonriver network deployed as a parachain to Kusama in June 2021. Moonriver is a companion network to Moonbeam and provides a permanently incentivized canary network. New code ships to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified under real economic conditions. Once proven, the same code ships to Moonbeam on Polkadot.
Community members own a majority of the MOVR tokens on the network, giving them considerable control over the direction of the network. Some of the uses of the MOVR token on Moonriver include:
- Facilitating on-chain governance activities
- Gas metering for smart contracts on the platform
- Paying for transaction fees
- Incentivizing collators to create infrastructure on the network
With low transaction fees, Moonriver is a must-have for the iBetYou community!
Polygon is a decentralized Ethereum scaling platform that enables developers to build scalable, user-friendly dApps with low transaction fees without sacrificing security.
Since the network went live in early 2021, Polygon has absolutely exploded as a DeFi haven free of the high fees seen when transacting directly on Ethereum.
Pros of Polygon:
- Low transaction fees
- Extremely fast transactions
- Can scale and offers staking rewards
- Great for decentralized finance apps
Now that’s what we call a wise choice 🤷
Avalanche is an open, programmable smart contracts platform for decentralized applications. The platform aims to deliver a scalable blockchain solution while maintaining decentralization and security, focusing on lower costs, fast transaction speeds, and eco-friendliness.
Two of the top issues that Avalanche addresses are congestion and low fees. Avalanche was deliberately designed with scalability in mind and it also trumps Ethereum in terms of gas fees. Fees on Avalanche are more affordable than Ethereum by a wide margin. These solutions made Avalanche perfect for iBetYou!
Binance Smart Chain (BSC) can best be described as a blockchain running parallel to Binance Chain. Unlike Binance Chain, BSC has smart contract functions and compatibility with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). The purpose of the design here is to keep the high efficiency of Binance Chain intact while incorporating smart contracts into the ecosystem.
One of the main advantages of BSC is that it offers the same smart contract functions with much cheaper transaction fees than BC. Another advantage of BSC is that it offers its users lightning-fast, albeit somewhat centralized, transaction speeds.
